3. Log Data

WowJamWeb collects information that your browser sends whenever you visit our website (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type and browser version. In addition, it may consist of the pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. We do not link any personal information with this data. The purpose of the data is to analyse trends, manage the site, track users’ movement on the website, and gather demographic information.

4. Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data, which may include a unique anonymous identifier. We send these cookies to your browser from our website and these are then stored on your computer’s hard drive.

5. Service Providers

WowJamWeb calls upon third-party companies and individuals, for instance, to support our service, provide the service on our behalf, perform service-related services, or assist us in analysing how you use our service.

These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf. Therefore, service providers are obligated not to disclose or use your data for any other purpose.

5.1 Complianz

We use Complianz across our website to ensure we adhere to GDPR, specifically within the European Union. We do not share data with Complianz as a vendor. Furthermore, Complianz has no access to the data of any of the visitors of this website and does not receive the IP addresses. You can find out more information on Complianz’s Legal site.

5.2 FTP Voyager

We keep additional backups of clients’ accounts locally, in a different location to the server, as described in our Terms and Conditions. WowJamWeb stores these local backups on a private server only accessible by WowJamWeb. Your backups are transferred from the remote server to our local server via SFTP (using SSH for increased security) using the software ‘FTP Voyager’. WowJamWeb have taken all reasonable steps to ensure the local server that is used to store local backups, is kept secure, however, WowJamWeb would like to refer you to section 6 below regarding transmissions of data over the internet.

5.3 Google

To help us manage our advertising and website,WowJamWeb uses Google’s AdSense, Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and Search Console services. The information Google collects typically include: your web request, IP address, browser type, browser language. In addition to this, you could have the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or set cookies on your browser. Upon visiting our website,WowJamWeb asks for your consent for different types of cookies. You can also opt-out at any time by changing your preferences and removing your consent. You can do this through the ‘Manage Consent’ button at the bottom of the screen or by visiting our Cookie Policy.

Google uses first-party cookies to report on visitor interactions. Google uses these to measure user interactions on our website. In addition, Google uses IP addresses to provide and protect the service’s security. Also, it gives us a sense of where our users come from and howWowJamWeb can improve our services.WowJamWeb may also choose to use the data collected by Google Analytics for site personalisation or advertising purposes. In addition, it could include ad personalisation, remarketing with Google Analytics, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting and other Integrated Services. Google use cookies to serve ads that are more useful to you, based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. reCAPTCHA is used across our website to protect us from spam and abuse, including our contact form. Using our contact form could send personal data, including your IP address, to Google. However, the contact form itself does not:

  • Track users by stealth,
  • Write any personal user data to a database,
  • Send any data to external servers,
  • Use cookies.

5.4 Heateor Social Sharing

We use the Heateor Sassy Social Sharing plugin on our website for functional purposes. This is so visitors can share pages or posts on social media and other platforms. The vendor does not track or store any user data via the plugin and is compatible with GDPR. Any scripts used to power the plugin are run entirely from this website only. 5.5 LiteSpeed Cache

This site utilises caching to enable a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site admin but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary.

5.6 Mailchimp

We use Mailchimp as our marketing platform. By clicking subscribe, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to Mailchimp and Intuit (Mailchimp’s parent company, as of January 2022) for processing. Your data is recorded and sent when you give your consent by ticking a checkbox as part of the form on our website.WowJamWeb also uses a double opt-in system when signing up for our email marketing ‘Keep up to date’. In other words, it meansWowJamWeb will only receive your data once you have confirmed your opt-in preference through a verification email.WowJamWeb collects data types, including but not limited to: names and email addresses.

5.7 ResellerClub

We use ResellerClub as our preferred Domain Registrar. The personal information you use whilst ordering domain services will be transferred to ResellerClub for processing, as well as the Registry Operator and others who will receive the data from Registry Operator. All personal data requested whilst placing a domain order is mandatory unless otherwise stated. There is more information available in our Domain Registration Agreement. You can access and, if necessary, correct the data held about you in your Account in the Client Area.

5.8 WHMCS and Payment Gateways

WowJamWeb uses the WHMCS platform installed locally to automate our ordering system. The toolsWowJamWeb use include invoicing/billing/providing services/support. To purchase services, you are required to register an account with us.WowJamWeb will ask for some personal information as part of registering an account. All personal data is mandatory unless otherwise stated.

WowJamWeb securely store your data within a protected database. Collecting personal data about an individual to fulfil a contractual obligation (our services) is the lawful basis for collecting personal data.

WowJamWeb have taken all reasonable steps to secure your data as advised within WHMCS documentation.

Paypal

Paypal is a redirect payment gateway that takes the client to the provider’s website to process payments off-site, meaning Paypal provides security for the transaction. You can find more information on Paypal’s Privacy Policy.

Stripe

Stripe is a Tokenization Gateway that can perform repeat billing by storing the original transaction details or a reference number. In other words, it does not hold the whole credit card number.

Tokenization Gateways stores a token to use for processing credit card payments. The system won’t add the token until the client has submitted a payment through Stripe. The system will store the credit card details in the database directly until the client makes a payment on an invoice through Stripe. After the payment is complete, the system fetches the token and replaces the credit card details in the database. Storage of the credit card details can also happen when the client updates their credit card details or places an order, and it does not process the payment immediately. 5.9 Wordfence

Wordfence is a highly effective firewall plugin that can provide security to your website. As it is a firewall, Wordfence can prevent any hacker, malicious data or virus from entering our website and having access to data. As it runs before any other code, Wordfence is very quick and effective to keep our website protected at all times.

Every time a visitor connects to our website, Wordfence will save the following information:

  • IP Address (which can be used to determine the Country of origin),
  • User-agent (which can be used to determine if the device is mobile or desktop),
  • Referrer (which can be used to determine if the request came from Google).

Our website participates in the Wordfence Security Network, and so some IP addresses that are deemed to be highly malicious are sent over to Wordfence’s servers. The IP address is then stored on Wordfence servers for 90 days and then removed. If the offending IP address still however is attacking websites, it might be re-added to Wordfence servers.

5.10 WordPress

If you visit our login page,WowJamWeb will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data, and your device discards it when you close your browser. Pages on this site may include embedded content (for example, videos, images or articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves the same as if the visitor has visited the other website. In other words, these websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content. Also, this includes tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and logged in to that website.

6. Security / Transfer of Data Abroad

The security of your Personal Information is important to us. However, remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
